This notice explains how we collect and use personal information when you use our website, request a quote, contact us, or sign up for optional marketing. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and only for the purposes described below.

What we collect
- Quote & contact forms: name, email, phone (if provided), message, hire details, and technical data (for example IP address, browser type, and referrer) to prevent abuse and run our business.
- Optional marketing: only if you tick the consent box or complete the blog signup — we record your email (and name or phone if you gave them on that form), when you consented, which form or page you used, and the version of this notice.
- Website usage: when Google Analytics or similar tools are enabled, aggregated or pseudonymous data such as pages viewed, approximate region, device type, and interactions with our content.
- Advertising & measurement: when Google Ads tags are enabled, Google may process online identifiers, technical data, and conversion or campaign-related signals linked to your browser or device (for example to measure ad performance or cap how often you see an ad).
Why we use it (purpose)
- To respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, deliver and collect hire equipment, and manage our contract or steps prior to a contract with you.
- For direct marketing (emails about specials, hire ideas, seasonal reminders) only where you have consented. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing sales@blinkrental.co.za with “unsubscribe” or your request.
- To keep a secure audit trail of consent (who opted in, when, and where) as required for accountability under POPIA.
- To understand how our website is used, improve content and forms, and measure the effectiveness of online advertising.
Google Analytics, Google Ads & similar technologies
We may use Google Analytics (and related Google measurement products) to collect statistical information about visitors to this site. We may use Google Ads conversion tags, remarketing or audience features, or similar Google advertising tools so we can show relevant ads and measure results.
These services are provided by Google and may use cookies, pixels, or similar technologies; data may be processed on servers outside South Africa. Sharing & retention
We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers who process data on our instructions, including hosting, email delivery, and (when enabled) Google for analytics and advertising measurement. We keep enquiry and consent records only as long as needed for the purposes above and any legal requirements, then delete or anonymise them.
Your rights
